Planet Live Hate Speech, Harassment, and Bullying Policy
We strive to make Planet Live a safe and comfortable space for people to express themselves and connect with the world. Respectful behavior and empathy are drivers of free expression and open dialogue. While intense disagreements and criticism among people are natural, they must be expressed civilly on our platform.
It is prohibited to post content or engage in behavior that threatens personal safety and well•being. We have zero tolerance for hate speech, harassment, or any other malicious or abusive behavior.

• Age
• Race
• Disability
• Ethnicity
• Gender identity and expression
• Immigration status
• Medical conditions
• Nationality
• Religion
• Sex/gender

Examples of violations include:

• Unsubstantiated claims, such as attributing diseases to a specific race
Insulting Communication
Continued, malicious, targeted verbal or written insults towards others are not allowed. This includes broadcasts, messages between users, profiles, and verbal or written communication.
When evaluating potential cases of bullying, we consider context and intent. For example, a person may have agreed to be "Roasted." Or, for educational or discussion purposes, the broadcaster could play a short video clip of someone engaging in bullying behavior. If the context and intent are very clear to all involved, then these scenarios usually do not violate the policy. The key consideration is whether the target feels bullied or harassed.
Examples of violations include:
• Repeatedly maliciously insulting others in broadcasts
• Attempting to belittle, embarrass, or shame others, e.g., using derogatory language or discussing sexual activities in user chat comments or broadcast
• Posting mocking personal photos of broadcasters
• Using offensive nicknames when addressing others
• Creating insulting or demeaning usernames for other users
• Sending unwanted spam messages to the target
Incitement or Promotion of Group Abuse
You are not allowed to use Planet to encourage others to abuse a target person, either on or off the platform.
Examples include:
• Submitting false spam reports or making deceptive statements against the target person that violate policies
• Organizing people to use insults and other abusive language in the broadcast comments of the target person to "disrupt" the live stream
• Encouraging "swatting" or other prank calls to police or emergency services for the target person or their family
• Offering rewards to those who block or ban the target person on other social media platforms
Blackmail, Threats, and Harm
We do not allow implied or explicit threats of harm, statements intending harm, or encouragement of harm to others, their family members, or their property. This includes physical, economic, and social harm.
Examples include:
• Extortion, e.g., "If you don't give me your diamonds, I'll tell the whole world how much you hate kids and koalas."
• Threats of physical harm, e.g., "I'm going to find you and use you as target practice."
• Implicitly threatening physical harm, e.g., "Your broadcast has a cute dog. It would be a shame if something happened to it."
• Encouraging, endorsing, inciting, or facilitating physical harm, e.g., "Protesters should be shot."
• Wishing physical harm on others, e.g., "I hope you get COVID."
• Urging someone to self-harm or commit suicide
Unnecessary Contact or Tracking, Online or Offline
Respect for online and offline boundaries is necessary. Repeated attempts at unnecessary direct contact are not allowed.
Examples include:
• Sending direct messages with harassment to other users
• Broadcasting intentionally near the target person's house, workplace, or other physical boundaries where direct interaction or confrontation is likely
• Trying to disrupt the broadcast of another broadcaster
Sharing Sensitive Personal Information
Without explicit authorization and permission from others, you may not share others' personal or private information or communications. This includes doxing, which is strictly prohibited. Similarly, you cannot threaten to share sensitive personal information or encourage others to do so.
Examples of unauthorized sharing include:
• Location and contact information such as home addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses
• Financial information such as personal banking details
• Court documents or other legal documents not easily accessible to the public
• Private and/or personal content related to others, e.g., explicit information or photos created by the target person without their knowledge
• Taking explicit photos of the target person without their knowledge
• Presenting harmful false information or other untrue information as true
What is not a violation?
• Users sharing their own information
• Users sharing official contact information
We will also consider the intent of the person sharing information. If we determine that a person's behavior is malicious, this will be taken into account in policy decisions and may affect penalties.
Off-Platform Abuse
When evaluating potential violations, we may consider relevant off-platform behavior. For example, if a Planet broadcaster has a dispute with another broadcaster and posts sensitive personal information about them on another social media platform.
For such cases, clear and verifiable evidence is required.
